Hi, everyone. We wanted to let you all know that we recently rolled out our new GunLink Firearms Blog (http://blog.GunLink.info). As you may or may not know, we've been thinking about adding a blog to the site for a while now. The format of a blog might be better suited for posting new articles than a discussion forum would be.
For now, the blog is in sort of a "trial period" until we see how it works out. We'll be posting original articles on the blog and, for the time being, possibly posting a link/excerpt on the forum so that forum readers who don't frequent the blog can still know about the new material. Articles from other sources which are posted for commentary purposes will probably remain on the forums.
GunLink as a whole is still a relatively young site and we're still feeling it out to make sure that our visitors get the most out of it. The blog is especially new, so we want to hear from you about what you like or don't like about it and what you would like to see on the blog. Also, we're open for input on what types of materials you'd like to see provided through the various channels.
The biggest effect this will have right away is for our SHOT Show (http://gunlink.info/forums/index.php?topic=351) coverage. The current plan is to have articles initially posted directly to the blog under the "2012 SHOT Show" category and then, as time permits, either link to the article from the forums or reproduce the article on the forum (most likely will be linking to the article with the title and a brief excerpt). Commentary on show coverage will be able to go on either the forum post or the blog post.
