CA has a few new laws going into effect very soon - one of which is a background check on ammo purchases, which will cost the buyer an additional $1 and a second one requires that the buyer present a new REAL ID or additional documentation such as a passport with a drivers license in order to purchase the ammo.
A third one will ban lead ammo being used in hunting. Offenders will be heavily fined.
