I hope they don't screw it up. I've read all the books and both movies which are actually pretty good. Article says Christopher McQuarrie, who wrote and directed the first film and was a producer on the sequel, is among the executive producers on the Amazon project.
I think I read that Tom Cruise owns all the movie rights options. I'd rather see more movies, but if the show is good, I'm alright with that.

Some are better than others. Like Nothing to Lose took me three tries to get through for a total of like 6 weeks. It’s probably my least favorite of the books.
Some of its hilarious like he’s just so muscley that bullets ricochet off his chest muscle.

I’ve read them all up to Blue Moon, which I think doesn’t come out until October.

I've read most of Jack Reacher books. They're pretty good but some are better than others. No joke about bullets bouncing off of him - he took a .38 to the chest and walked it offHe's like 6'4 and a couple hundred pounds with hands like whole hams in the books. Of course Tom Cruise is perfect for the role!

I never read Tom Clancy. I’ve heard they are “guy-books” and the last guy book I tried to read was the series that the show Longmire was based on. I never got passed the first chapter and I had that book for 9 weeks.

I don’t think it matters but if you like things in order then it’s best to start from the begining
Apparently everyone is trying to read them in chronological order so I’ll go with publication order. Less waiting for books at the library.
