Tennessee Lawmaker With A Lemonade Stand And AK-47

State Representative Mike Stewart (D), in an effort to show how easy it is to buy a firearm, set up a lemonade stand in downtown Nashville. He was selling lemonade for $0.75, cookies for $0.50 and an AK-47 for $700. He sign also included that no background check was needed.

He did this to support a new bill that he has proposed, HB1319, which would make all firearm sales and transfers require a background check by an FFL.
