It's a couple years old, but I was looking through some emails recently and found this one. Pretty neat. (Circa early 2009)
15 DAYS AGO A LOCAL FOUND THIS ANCIENT MUZZLELOADER STUFFED IN A HOLLOW TREE ALONG THE YELLOWSTONE RIVER NEAR GLENDIVE, MONTANA. IT IS APPROX. 160 YEARS OLD. IN FANTASTIC CONDITION, PROBABLY DUE TO BEING COVERED WITH BEAR OR BUFFALO GREASE AND STUFFED IN A HOLLOW LOG! WOW! WHAT A FIND! SURE WOULD BE FUN TO KNOW ABOUT THE OWNER AND THE STORY OF THE GUN AND HOW IT CAME TO BE STASHED THERE AND NEVER RETRIEVED .

The only thing I ever find in trees are bees, ants and skunks. Cool find.

And snakes.
I can't recall ever finding anything good in the woods. Maybe a few dead animals, but only because I made them that way and was looking for them. And mushrooms.
