North Carolina Bill - Firearms Education In School

HB612 was proposed earlier this month and it creates a firearms education course to be taught in high school using air-soft weapons. The teacher would need to be approved by the school's principal and needs to use history, math and science as it relates to firearms and focus on safety.

The bill has been met with mixed feelings from parents, as you can probably imagine.

Good idea or not?
