« Reply #1 on: January 11, 2017, 12:15:13 PM »
Smith & Wesson® Unveils the M&P® M2.0™ Pistol
Feature-Rich, M&P M2.0 Establishes New Pistol Platform for the Future

Smith & Wesson Corp. today announced the debut of the M&P M2.0 pistol, the latest innovation from the iconic firearms company.  Designed for personal, sporting, and professional use, the M&P M2.0 pistol delivers an entirely new platform, introducing innovative features in nearly every aspect of the pistol, including the trigger, grip, frame, and finish.

James Debney, President and CEO of American Outdoor Brands Corporation, the parent company of Smith & Wesson Corp., said, “When we launched the first M&P polymer pistols over 10 years ago, they were a game changer for the company.  Since that time, we have clearly established M&P as a leading firearm brand and built an incredibly strong family of products around it, including the market leading M&P Shield® pistols. Now, with a decade of experience under our belts, we are very excited and proud to reveal our next generation M&P pistol – the M&P M2.0. We expect this completely new product platform to clearly differentiate us from the competition and take significant share in the handgun market.  Today, we are launching the 9mm, 40S&W and .45 Auto versions of our full-size design, but stay tuned for multiple new product additions and line extensions in 2017 that will establish a completely new family based on this platform. This is a key strategic milestone in achieving our vision for the Firearms Division, which is 'To be the leading firearms manufacturer'."

Matt Buckingham, President of the Firearms Division, said, “Our goal is to continually strengthen and grow our leadership position in firearms by meeting and then exceeding the needs, wants, and desires of the consumer. With this goal always in our minds, the new product development team at Smith & Wesson tapped into more than a decade of M&P experience, performance data, and candid feedback from professional users when designing the M&P M2.0 Pistol – and it shows.   When you pick up this pistol, the first thing you’ll notice is an extraordinary grip that feels great in the hand – and that’s just the beginning.  From the grip, to the new aggressive texture, to the crisp trigger and audible reset, this pistol feels and fires like a next-generation model should – and more. This is clearly one of the most advanced production pistols on the market today, and we believe it is the pistol that consumers have been waiting for.  The M&P M2.0 in 9mm and 40 caliber versions is in stock at our distributor partners and is shipping today.”

Highlights of the M&P M2.0 pistol include an extended stainless-steel chassis and high grip to barrel bore axis ratio for reduced muzzle rise and faster aim recovery.  The M&P M2.0 pistol further improves performance with a fine-tuned, crisper trigger, lighter pull, and a tactile and audible reset. The pistol, available in three calibers, includes an aggressively-textured grip and four interchangeable palmswell inserts for optimal hand-fit and trigger reach.  The M&P M2.0 is an ideal pistol for all shooters in all conditions.

Alien Gear Holsters Releases Holster Mount for Inside the Waistband Holsters

Alien Gear Holsters now offers the all-new Cloak Dock IWB Holster Mount, which allows users to anchor an inside-the-waistband (IWB Holster) Alien Gear holster on any structurally sound surface.

The Cloak Dock IWB Holster Mount was designed specifically with Alien Gear Holsters’ loyal customers in mind. After the Cloak Dock OWB Holster Mount was released, a large volume of requests were received from customers asking for a holster mount that is compatible with their IWB holsters.

The concealed carry holster company responded with the Cloak Dock IWB Holster Mount, made of premium engineered polymer, and designed for quick and simple installation. The IWB holster mount provides a sturdy and safe dock for a handgun, providing the user with confidence anywhere, anytime.

This IWB Holster mount can be used as a desk holster, car holster, wall holster, bedside holster and much more. Alien Gear Holsters’ Jacob Shearer is excited for the versatility that comes with the Cloak Dock IWB Holster Mount.

“The IWB Dock is a great option for those looking to have their gun holstered and near them for those times when carrying IWB may not be preferred,” Shearer said. “All while being ready to use at a moment’s notice.”

The gun holster mounting system can be attached to a broad number of surfaces including wood, plastic, drywall, and sheet metal.

This means all Alien Gear IWB holsters can securely fasten to a desk, bedside table or wall, underneath a vehicle steering column, or any appropriate surface for convenient access to your firearm.

The mounting brackets of the docking system have clip platforms that provide extra security for the IWB holster. This maintains a smooth drawing and holstering without any wobble or give.

All Alien Gear products are proudly handcrafted in the USA with quality and attention to detail. The Cloak Dock IWB Holster Mount is made with confidence, and backed with a Forever Warranty and a 30-Day Test Drive.

It is now available for purchase at the affordable price of $11.88. When combined with the Cloak Tuck 3.0 IWB Holster or the Original Cloak Tuck, customers can save $4 off their entire order.

BulletSafe Introduces $599 Ballistic Shield
« Reply #3 on: January 11, 2017, 12:39:22 PM »
BulletSafe Introduces $599 Ballistic Shield

BulletSafe has been the value-leader in the body armor since they introduced their $299 Level IIIA bulletproof vest in 2013.  Their vest makes ballistic protection affordable to more people than ever before.

For 2017 they are introducing a large (700 square inch) ballistic shield for just $599.  This price will allow police departments and individuals to afford protection that they previously could not.  The BulletSafe Ballistic Shield will offer NIJ Level IIIA protection, a large coverage area, and it is lightweight at just 9.9 lbs. It is the perfect product when you need protection beyond your vest.

Bulletproof shields are useful when the threat of being shot is highest or when you need to protect more than just yourself.  Officers can use a ballistic shield to knock on bad guys’ doors or to shield bystanders from a dangerous situation.  Individuals can use a bulletproof shield to protect themselves and others in panic situations.

Before the introduction of the BulletSafe Ballistic Shield, the most affordable shield on the market (Protech Patroller) has a typical retail price of  $917 and offers only 432 square inches of protective area.  The least expensive shield of this size (ProTech Defender) is typically offered for $1730. *

By offering ballistic protection to more people, BulletSafe is saving the lives of security guards, police officers, and anyone else who needs to be safe from bullets.

Visit BulletSafe in booth #2616, downstairs at SHOT Show 2017 or call 1-248-457-6877 or visit www.BulletSafe.com

Breakthrough Clean Technologies sharpens edge on newest kit with Hoback
« Reply #4 on: January 11, 2017, 12:45:12 PM »
Breakthrough Clean Technologies® sharpens edge on newest kit with Jake Hoback Knives

Breakthrough Clean Technologies & Jake Hoback Knives are pleased to unveil their newest collaborative kit: The F23 Knife Maintenance Kit. The F23 addresses a need that has been absent from the end-user’s mindset, the ongoing care and maintenance of an important utility tool – the knife.

At the heart of this collaborative project lies the main product that was previously unavailable, the Formula 23 Knife Oil. The oil is designed to lubricate and maintain the knife so it operates correctly. Being a true “student of the blade,” Jake Hoback envisioned a product that could cater to specific needs that knives have and firearms don’t. Breakthrough delivered this product (and more) by designing an edged-tool lubricant that features a boundary additive that aids in lubricating, protecting, and enhancing the operation of all types of knives.

“The F23 Knife Oil is a specifically-designed knife and cutlery lubricant. We spent months testing different formulations and additives in search of an effective, long-lasting lubricant that won’t evaporate. Our goal was to create a lubricant that will protect edged weapons and enhance the bearing and pivot movements on a folding knife. Special attention was also paid to the capillary effect that is present when joining two pieces of steel together;it is critical to provide and retain sufficient lubrication in those capillary spaces.”– Jake Hoback

The F23 Knife Maintenance Kit will be available for purchase in February, 2017 at JakeHobackKnives.com and will have a $35.00 MSRP.

To learn more about the F23 visit:JakeHobackKnives.com or visit Breakthrough Clean’s SHOT Show booth (#109) during January 17-20.

LaserMax announces GripSense Activation Technology

LaserMax announces GripSense Activation Technology

The new activation technology from LaserMax is coined GripSense™ and offers users dual activation choices via instant on with capacitive touch or button controlled activation.

"Offering consumers the ability to choose between modes of button activation or GripSense activation is really incredible" said Chris Tinkle, Chief Sales Officer for LaserMax. "Our GripSense Technology is a safe and tactically sound instant on capability that consumers have desired for years, while still providing the ability to have controlled activation."

The Patent Pending GripSense Technology utilizes similar capacitive sensing technology to smartphones, in that the product contains a detection zone in the area that users middle finger indexes the trigger guard of the firearm and senses the user's grip on the firearm and activates the light or laser instantly.  The user has the option to turn off the light or laser with the push of a button or disable the GripSense Activation and rely solely on the button activation.

"I am very proud of our team and excited to see the market's reaction to our new GripSense Technology," said Chris Tinkle. He added, "Our team has been very careful to work on an 'instant on' solution for laser aiming devices. We challenged our Engineering team to develop a solution that met customer demand while ensuring that the product doesn't comprise proper doctrinal use of laser aiming devices in law enforcement or self-defense use cases.  Our team delivered an incredible solution in GripSense Technology."

LaserMax released its GripSense technology at distributor shows last week and plans a full debut at the 2017 Shot Show in Las Vegas, Nevada on January 17, 2017.
