These businesses are thanking Veterans this week
« on: November 08, 2011, 10:06:46 AM »
These places are saying "Thanks" to veterans this week in their own way.  Sure, it may be a marketing ploy and I may be playing right in to their hands, but I like seeing businesses do stuff like this and it moves them up a notch or two in my book.  AFAIK, it used to only be a couple places that did this (Applebee's and Golden Corral come to mind), but now a lot of places are doing their own thing.

If you've served or are currently serving our country in the armed services, THANK YOU! and I hop you get some use out of these things:

Free Slurpee at 7-11 on Veteran's Day

Free Bloomin' Onion and Coke at Outback all week

Free entree at Applebee's on Veteran's Day

Free lunch at Texas Roadhouse on Veteran's Day

Various stuff from Famous Dave's BBQ

Free wings at Hooters

Free meal at Golden Corral on NOVEMBER 14

Free meal from McCormick and Schmick's Seafood

Free Hugo canes for vets at Sam's Club on Nov 9, 10, 11

Free meal at Chili's on Veteran's Day

Free night's stay at Inns/B&Bs on November 10

Free admission (for everyone) to national parks on Veteran's Day

Free Coca-Cola from USO (online printable coupon)

Free car washes for veterans

Also, I don't see anything on their websites, but Krispy Kreme and Tim Hortons are both supposed to have donuts for veterans, Subway should have free 6' subs and Sports Clips does free hair cuts for vets.

Local stuff for Vets:

Free Knott's Berry Farm admission through Thanksgiving

Free admission at Colonial Williamsburg

Free admission to Aquarium of the Pacific

Free admission for vets and their families at the Des Moins Botanical Center

Free Veteran's day concert by the San Antonio Symphony

Florida's Brevard Zoo - Free admission

$50 Food Lion gift certificate for recently returned E1-E4s in the Fayetteville area.

Ceremony at Pembroke Pines

Don't forget to thank the people who put themselves in harms way to protect others every day, especially this week during Veteran's Day!

Also, the NRA offers the Life of Duty membership for free to military personnel, LEOs, and first responders at https://signup.nralifeofduty.tv/Signup.aspx

These memberships are sponsored memberships, not "free from the NRA" memberships.  To donate to the Life of Duty program, click here

Thanks for posting these, guys.  I passed the link along to some friends of mine who got some good use out of them.

Heaven knows the least these men earned is a free meal once a year!
