N82 Tactical Holsters
« on: March 14, 2014, 10:39:46 AM »
We got a chance to try out the full line of N82 Tactical holsters with the pistol from the P11 Improvement Project.

Testing involved wearing the holster and pistol while spending hours in a car, at a desk, doing yard work, going for walks and general day to day tasks.  N82 Tactical's motto is "Engineered for Comfort" and they definitely hit the nail on the head there.  Throughout all of time spent wearing the P11 in any of the N82 holsters, the GunLink test crew frequently forgot they were even wearing it.  The three-layer construction of the backing keeps the firearm from digging into you and the soft suede of the layer closest to your body is very skin-friendly.

N82 offers three models:  The Original, Original Tuckable and the Professional - ranging in price from $40-$70.  The first two are essentially the same with the firearm held in place in a sturdy elastic band and the single, leather housed metal belt clip sewn to the elastic.  In the case of the tuckable model, the clip is attached in such a manner to allow it to swing away at the top so that a shirt can be tucked in between the clip and the rest of the holster.  On the professional model, the firearm is housed in a form fitting polycarbonate shell with the adjustable-cant belt clip attached by a screw.

All of the holsters were exceedingly comfortable to wear for long periods of time and convenient enough to put on just for a quick trip to the store.  Of the three, the Professional model rose to the top in our book thanks to a lower ride height, adjustable cant and ease of re-holstering.
