Title: New Bills in Congress
Post by: LivingDeadGirl on January 10, 2017, 11:27:19 PM
The 115th Congress started about a week ago, and they started off quick. January 3rd marks the start of a new session of Congress, so we're starting a new thread for the proposed legislation.

Previously, we have used the PopVox platform to allow you to quickly see the bill's information, including full text, and to contact your legislators directly through that website. If you are a regular PopVox user, then you know that they have been going through some "upgrades", and we just find the new interface to be unfriendly to the user. Instead, we will provide you with links directly to the GovTrack page, which contains the full text and bill status, and now allows users (if you sign-up for an account) the ability to choose an emoji to describe how you feel about a bill.  Since there is not a place to contact your representatives directly, at the end of each post, we will include links for you to find your House Representative and your Senators, as well as a link to the "Contact your Representative" page through the NRA-ILA.

The first batch of bills will appear in the following post.
