This post will be for residents of Illinois to share state and local legislation. Please indicate if the bill you're talking about is local or state.

So, a search of the proposed legislation in Illinois using the keyword, "firearm", resulted in 339 hits.

There's a lot of legislation already proposed this year. These are just some of the bills:

SB0007 - amends concealed carry act

HB0258 - makes it a petty crime to purchase, possess, etc. a replica firearm

HB0271 - requires all ammunition to be serialized

HB0329 - amends where a licensee can carry a concealed weapon

SB0074/HB745 - requires full set of fingerprints for a FOID

HB0377 - protects businesses who allow concealed carry

HB0405 - would allow for non-residents to apply for CCDW as long as the home state requires training and a background check

HB0406 - allows for a licensed CCDW to carry a handgun while hunting

HB410 - exempts personal exchanges of firearms from the 3 day waiting period

HB413 - second amendment preservcation act

HB461 - requires that a quailified examiner report to DHHS any person over 14 who has a developmental disability, and DHHS decides if State Police need to be notified for eligiblity to own firearms

SB194 - prohibits sale of imitation firearms, such as BB, pellet, or air soft weapons and adds criteria to airsoft rifles and handguns.

HB492/674/699 - repeals FOID Card Act

HB504 - allows state police to retroactively revoke FOID if at the time of issuance the person was on the terrorist watchlist.

HB521 - makes it a felony to fail to report a lost or stolen firearm

HB714/3429 - prohibits anything other than regular sales tax on firearms, accessories or ammunition

HB715 - prohibits local governments from making a firearms registry

HB720 - lowers the age of FOID to 18

HB3734 - makes it illegal to have, sell, or purchase an assault weapon and accessories, a .50 caliber rifle or ammunition.
