Title: Canadian Government Delays New Firearms Marking Law
Post by: LivingDeadGirl on May 19, 2017, 01:55:38 PM
13 years ago, the Firearms Marking Regulation was passed and set to go into effect June 1, 2017. The law would require all new manufactured guns, including imports from forgein contries, must be engraved with the "Canada" or "CA", and all imports must have the year of import engraved as well.

It is estimated that this will add at least $100 to the average cost of a firearm in the country.

It was recently announced that this effective has been pushed back 18 more months. It does sound like that many gun-rights groups will still be actively fighting the new regulation.
