FEG Hi_powr clone, 9mm

This FEG was somewhat of a ''stopgap'' until a genuine BHP was tracked down. It is doubtful that metallurgically it is up to Browning standard but, it does however perform extremely well and accepts regular Browning mags, as well as reputedly std Browning parts.

For those wanting a Browning style for only modest shooting then this is worthy of consideration. It certainly ''feels'' every bit a Hi Power and function and accuracy are good.  This is now long gone having been sold on - but enjoyable while owned.

A coworker who just started shooting tried my Hi-Power and while convinced its the pistol for him new prices are out of the question and even the used seem a bit high. I suggested looking around for one of these made by FEG. I don't believe I've ever heard a disparaging word about them. Glad someone that owns one attests to its ability. Were gonna keep our eyes open for one.

Yeah - the real deal has gotten very spendy - you may find and see my Browning Hi-Power Practical listed here somewhere - it's on my gobango site anyways.  I was lucky to get that some time back as a used but 'minty' piece.

The site http://hipowersandhandguns.com/ was always a treasure trove of info on these - sadly Stephen Camp who ran it and was a fine man, died not long ago.  Site is still up for now - just hope someone keeps it running.
