Who knew that InterMedia Outdoor Holdings was attempting to corner the market in Outdoor / Shooting / Firearm media? The “man behind the curtain” at InterMedia Outdoor Holdings is major Obama donor and Huffington Post blogger Leo Hindery Jr.
According to published reports in the Daily Caller “…Hindery is in the process of buying up and consolidating America’s leading pro-gun media outlets as part of a business plan that has already led to the gutting and virtual destruction of media facilities like the Petersen’s Hunting studio in Minnesota and Barrett Productions in Montana.”
However it appears that Hindery’s plans have been thwarted by the purchase of Outdoor Channel for $227 million in an all-cash deal by billionaire sports mogul Stan Kroenke’s company, Kroenke Sport and Entertainment.
I’m wondering where all the editorial talent will go if, indeed, Leo Hindery effectively shutters the print media outlets. Is this an opportunity in disguise?
