I can't wait for this! Frank Castle is one of my favorite fictional characters, certainly among comic universes.

my significant other is also very excited for this trailer. Though, I seem to remember that the cause of death for the Castle family was different in the Daredevil series. Am I wrong?

They canceled a NY comiccon panel (http://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/2017/10/05/marvel-and-netflix-cancel-punisher-comic-con-panel-in-wake-las-vegas-shootings.html) for the show this week.

We were at a regional comic-con and in a Q&A for The Chucky cast, they said the last one they did (Curse of Chucky?) they redid the ending because the little girl died and they thought it would be offense since it was so close to Sandyhook.

I saw the new trailer just came out today. Who knows if they even delayed it at all, since they didn't give a release date to begin with. It's hitting Netflix on November 17. The article only said they "may" delay it. Someone probably got their panties in a twist because "OMG GUNS ON TV!?!" so they shut them up by claiming they pushed it back. Couldn't have been delayed long... release date is only 2 months after the first trailer.
And comiccon guests bail out all the time.
