Title: Kentucky Constitutional (permit-less) Concealed Carry
Post by: Gunz on April 27, 2019, 03:03:00 PM
Most people probably already know that the senate passed and Bevin signed the law to allow concealed carry in Kentucky without a CCDW permit.

Don't forget that it doesn't go into effect until the end of June https://www.wkyt.com/content/news/Gov-Bevin-signs-permitless-conceal-carry-into-law-507004161.html

Until then, people can still open carry and can have a pistol in a factory-installed compartment in their vehicle without a license. That will still be true after the law goes into effect.

Also don't forget that the law only allows you to carry without a permit in KY. If you travel to other states, you won't be allowed to concealed carry without a permit unless they also have constitutional carry for non-residents.  You also don't get the benefit of the Brady background check bypass like you would if you had a CCDW license.
